- November 19, 2012 - Galorath Incorporated, a leading provider of advanced modeling tools for project estimation, planning, and control whose clients include NASA, Raytheon, Rockwell Automation, Boeing and Northrop Grumman, has released SEER® for Hardware, Electronics and Systems, version 7.2.32 (SEER-H™). SEER-H is a robust decision-support application providing lifecycle cost for any size hardware project. Using parametric algorithms, extensive knowledge bases, and/or user-supplied data, SEER-H can reliably and accurately estimate the total cost of ownership for new product development projects, enabling organizations to accurately assess what is known about a project and to model or simulate what is unknown, based on meaningful comparative data.
Interface and architectural enhancements ensure that both new and experienced users can easily access, apply, and modify the solution’s comprehensive feature set and knowledge bases supporting project estimation, which, in turn, allows organizations to win more business and to better achieve on-time, on-budget performance.
The new SEER-H suite also provides enhancements to two of the application’s options: SEER for Integrated Circuits (SEER-IC™) 2.2.0 and SEER for Electro-Optical Sensors (SEER-EOS™) 2.2.15. The FPGA model has been redesigned to offer the most advanced estimation of these devices based on key design attributes and technologies used. ASIC and FPGA estimation can consider state of the practices as well as state of the art technologies, evaluating features size down to 28 nm. The SEER-EOS model has added Refactive Optics and Reflective Optics technologies plus updates to the other technologies offered.
“A lot of new research has gone into dramatically enhancing this new release of SEER H”, said Sam Sanchez, Director of Hardware for Galorath Incorporated. “As part of the Integrated Circuits option, the FPGA element has been dramatically enhanced based on valuable inputs collected over the past few years from many users. This will allow more detailed cost analysis and trade studies. New research has also allowed us to add a lot of new capabilities to the Electro Optical side of the model. The new release also has a cleaner and more effective user interface. We are all pretty excited to put this release into the field.”
This latest SEER-H version can be used with the latest improvements in the SEER Enterprise Database which offers improved features for project access control, search and storage.
“Many of our large customers are seeking a robust and well defined estimation process. The SEER Enterprise Database offers a framework to organize, collate and control estimates created with the SEER estimation models and supports the estimation workflow process”, says Karen McRitchie, Vice President of Product Development for Galorath Incorporated.
